Overwashing dries out your curls.

Curly hair is prone to frizz and is naturally dry. Natural oils from your scalp, which make straighter hair glossy and moisturized, cannot go down the twists and turns of a curly hair strand. Shampooing your curls less frequently can help them retain more moisture, allowing them to stay softer, shinier, and healthier overall. When you shampoo your hair, use a curl-specific shampoo to help define and untangle it. To rejuvenate your mane on no-poo days, use a dry shampoo only on the roots and scalp, or co-wash with water and a nourishing conditioner for curls.
